Mr. Maiden, founder of Stop the Flares, has leveraged his diverse network and background including: business case analysis for a multiple billion dollar acquisitions, profit modeling and forecasting in the energy sector and, engineering & design in the manufacturing sector; to give back to the community by proving a venue to solve problems in the energy marketplace. Additionally, Mr. Maiden is an executive staff member of a government consulting start-up, responsible for business development and relationship management resulting in a fifty percent increase of billable staff. Mr. Maiden complements his consulting experience with business education from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; The McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University; and The George Washington University. Mr. Maiden earned a dual M.S. degree from the School of Engineering and Science and The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. degree from the School of Engineering at Widener University.
Michael Joseph has a proven record of educational achievements and professional accomplishments. Mr. Joseph is a Senior Consultant for a Fortune 500 company; his expertise include strategic planning, portfolio management, systems engineering, cost/financial analysis, and risk management. He is also the President and CEO of GMP Holdings, LLC, a market development specializing in customer relationship management, affiliate marketing, and real estate. Prior to founding GMP Holdings, he gained experience in commercial land development, information technology, risk management, and cost analysis. With his education and experience, Mr. Joseph brings a unique perspective to his business ventures. He has developed and implemented processes that optimize market analysis, business development and customer relationship management efforts. Mr. Joseph earned an M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania/The Wharton School and a B.S. from Cornell University. He also has a certificate in International Business Management from Georgetown University.
Mr. Bergevin has a diverse background to include Web Design & Development, Database Design & Management, and Portfolio Management. Currently Mr. Bergevin is an IT Consultant with a proven track record of over a decade of successful projects and information technology endeavors.
Nancy has ten years of marketing experience with AmeriHealth Insurance Company, Independence Blue Cross and Delaware Management Company. She has also served, in a marketing capacity, for many other Non- profit Organizations including but not limited to the Women’s Federation of America, Haddonfield Municipal Alliance and the South Jersey Mental Health Association. Nancy has her BS in Finance/Marketing from Drexel University and her MS in Organizational Management from University Of Pennsylvania.
Thomas Appel is an Associate with a major global consulting firm, who advises and assists the U.S. Government with nuclear nonproliferation and cooperative threat reduction programs in the former Soviet Union. Mr. Appel has worked extensively on matters associated with international treaty compliance, and has assisted the U.S. Government with the implementation of nonproliferation programs overseas and in accordance with “recipient-state” regulations. In addition, he has helped the U.S. Government negotiate and execute several multi-million dollar contracts with Russian enterprises for the elimination of strategic nuclear submarines and their related arsenals of sea-launched ballistic missiles. Mr. Appel holds a B.A. from Kenyon College. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from American University’s Washington College of Law and an M.A. in International Affairs from American University’s School of International Service. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland.
Ray Williams is a Division Research Scientist and Northrop Grumman Information
Technology Technical Fellow at TASC Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northrop
Grumman Information Technology. In this position, he delivers engineering
solutions including policy and system architecture solutions that include data
centers, processing systems and end-to-end communications (satellite,
terrestrial and wireless) to United States government customers. He also teaches
part time at George Mason University in the Graduate School for
Telecommunications in the Volgeneau School. Ray has an MS degree in Computer Science from Marymount University in
Arlington, VA; and a BLS degree in Computer Science from Mary Washington College
in Fredericksburg, VA. He received extensive technical training as a Submarine
Sonar Technician during a 22 year career in the US Navy and Naval Reserve. Ray lives in Catlett, Virginia, with his wife and two daughters. For fun he races competitively and cruises on a sailboat that he admits is a bit of an
obsession as well as serving as Commodore of the Quantico Yacht Club.
Jeff has over 16 years of leadership experience and is a noted consultant in the strategic and business management profession. Jeff is currently the Director of Business Management Services at OPS Consulting in Maryland, where he oversees the firm's consulting practice in sustainable business management for the technology and financial sectors. Prior to joining OPS Consulting, Jeff excelled at various levels with top tier firms like Booz Allen Hamilton and Morgan Stanley. Founded on initial service in the U.S. Marine Corps, Jeff has focused his career on strategic management, international operations, and advanced financial and economic analysis. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from George Mason University and a Global Masters of Business Administration from Thunderbird: The School of Global Management.
